I found a way to disable the controller & controller prompts, per steam game go to steam settings > controller > general controller settings, then enable a configuration support (image 1-2) right click the game in your library & select "edit steam controller configuration…" (image 3) note: from here things are a bit weird. Toggle ui: ctrl + u: n/a: n/a inventory: tab / i: n/a map: m: n/a map (zoom in/out) scroll wheel / n/a center map around the character's current position: space: n/a: n/a mark current position: insert: n/a: n/a place marker: right click: n/a remove marker: delete/right click: n/a free look: alt + mouse move (hold) n/a quick looting: right click.

Please connect a gamepad and launch "advance game controls" either by clicking keyboard controls ui or by shortcut keys "ctrl + shift + h" add any touch control on the game screen right-click on the touch control and then switch to gamepad tab as shown below. Ui volume: 10; music: disabled; graphics settings. pubg runs with a locked frames-per-second of 30 on ps4 and xbox, so any graphical changes you’ll make won’t give you extra frames. I use a controller for pubg on pc, too. [ also when a controller could be used in the game menu (ui related) on pc like it is possible on the xbox version of the game it would be a huge improvement for controller users on pc, in-home-streaming and steam link..
